Santillan Returning to State XC Finals

COTTONWOOD, CA (MPG) – Running among the Northern Section’s best, Williams’ senior Isabella Santillan crossed the line in a time of 20:48 to finish 15 th overall in the varsity girls’ race that included 123 participants at the NSCIF Championships on Nov. 9, and punch her ticket to the CIF state meet.

It is the second straight year that Santillan, consistently the county’s top female cross country runner, has qualified for the state finals as an individual, and, as a result, will run in the Division V competition on Nov. 25 at Woodward Park in Fresno.

Also running well at the section meet was a pair of Colusa RedHawks, including Benji Granados (17:25), who finished 23rd in the varsity boy’s race, and sophomore Rajdeep Shoker (22:24), who was 29 th in the varsity girl’s contest.
