COLUSA COUNTY, CA (MPG) – The Colusa County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 10 appointed Kurt Richter to fill the open seat on the Maxwell Irrigation District Board of Directors, vacated by Director Greg Mensik, who announced he would not seek re-election.
Richter’s family farming business has been operating within the district for more than 40 years. Richter has regularly attended the district’s meetings the past 18 months.
The Board also re-appointed longtime Maxwell Irrigation District Director Matthew Southam and Director Drew Dirks to serve another four-year
term each.
Ken LaGrande and Brett LaGrande were also reappointed to the LaGrande Water District in lieu of the Aug. 29 election, and Glenn E Mathis Jr. and Trent Mathis to the 4M Water District. They will serve 4-year terms.
The Board of Supervisors on Oct. 10 reappointed Stan Roper to the Maxwell Cemetery District Board of Trustees to serve a 4-year term through Sept. 21, 2027.
Roper was last appointed in 2019.
