Drive-Thru Flu Shot and Narcan Giveaway

COLUSA, CA (MPG) – Colusa County will host a Drive-Thru Community Clinic from 11 am to 3 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the Colusa County Fairgrounds.

Colusa County residents are encouraged to utilize this opportunity to get their free flu shot and to stock their emergency medical kits with lifesaving Narcan, officials said.

All individuals 12 years and older are eligible to receive a flu shot (children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian). Residents are encouraged to wear clothing that quickly bares the upper arm and urges anyone feeling ill to avoid attending the Community Clinic.

Flu shots can keep people from getting sick with the flu and help protect the elderly, the very young, or people with chronic health conditions, who are most
vulnerable to the flu, officials said. Please wear clothing that quickly bares the
upper arm.

In addition to providing flu shots, Colusa County Behavioral Health is also providing two free doses of Narcan to eligible residents. Narcan is an over-the-counter nasal spray that reverses an opioid overdose by blocking the effects of opiates on the brain and restoring breathing.

The Colusa County Fairgrounds is located at 1303 10th Street, Colusa.
