The Colusa Police Department is investigating a burglary on Monday at Greenceuticals, a cannabis cultivation company located on Bridge Street.
The incident occurred around 3:30 AM when CDP officers were dispatched to the location after a report of a burglary in process, said Lt. Sara Martin.
Martin said surveillance cameras captured approximately 10 black male adults with six associated vehicles accessing the business on the south side.
“The vehicles’ license plates were concealed with black tape,” Martin said in a news release. “Several subjects and vehicles were observed fleeing the scene as law enforcement from Colusa PD as well as Colusa County Sheriff’s Office, Williams Police Department, and California Highway Patrol responded to the scene.”
Martin said a perimeter was set and a K9 unit from Sutter County Sheriff’s Office was deployed to search the building.
“No one was located within the building; however, evidence from the suspects was left behind and collected,” Martin said.
It was not reported what loss Greenceuticals suffered, but the staff from the company are assisting with the investigation, Martin said. ■
