The City of Colusa Parks, Recreation, and Tree Commission, with support of the Colusa Rotary Club, is offering to purchase and plant trees for residents interested in having trees in their mow strips, which could increase their property values, help clean the air, cool the community, and make Colusa a “City of Trees.”
Tree planting will resume in early March. Space in the program in this round is limited to the first 15 applicants.
A planting request application and master tree list can be found on the City of Colusa’s website or at City Hall, 425 Webster St. The deadline for completed applications is Feb. 28, which can be dropped off at City Hall or emailed to citymanager@cityofcolusa.com.
Applications received after Feb. 28 will be considered for the fall planting. There is a $25 hole-digging fee that can be paid upon application approval.
