Colusa County is partnering with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration on the development of a Colusa County Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). As a first step in the CEDS process, Colusa County is seeking input from residents.
The CEDS is a collaborative effort of local elected officials, partner organizations, residents, and businesses. The CEDS Committee will guide the goals, initiatives, and implementation of a five-year plan for cultivating an environment that supports a sustainable economic future, officials said.
The Colusa County CEDS project website can be accessed at ColusaCountyCEDS.com. The project website hosts two surveys: one for residents and one for business owners.
Residents are encouraged to visit the website to provide their input on living and doing business in Colusa County. The input received through these surveys will be considered in the development of a new Comprehensive Economic Development Plan. The information is confidential and critical to helping the county’s elected officials understand the public’s priorities and needs. The deadline to complete these surveys, which are confidential, is Friday, March 3.
A public presentation on the county’s economic conditions will be held 9-11 AM on Monday, March 6, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at 546 Jay Street, Suite 108, Colusa. The presentation will also be streamed virtually at ColusaCountyCEDS.com.
