Migrant housing to get new play structure

The Colusa County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved the purchase of a play structure and five picnic tables for the Williams Migrant Housing Center.

Funding was obtained for rehabilitation and construction projects with the California Department of Housing and Community Development Office of Migrant Services, officials said. The playground will cost $31,122.96, and will be purchased from Zoom Recreation, Inc.

The purchase is part of a larger revitalization project at the Migrant Housing facility that also includes resurfacing the playground area and renovation of the laundry facility and parking lights, which is currently out for formal bid. ■
