The City of Colusa Parks, Recreation, and Tree Commission, with support of the Colusa Rotary Club, is offering to purchase and plant trees for residents interested in having trees in their mow strips, which could increase their property values, help clean the air, cool the community, and make Colusa a “City of Trees.”
A planting request application and master tree list can be found on the City of Colusa’s website or at City Hall, 425 Webster St. The deadline for completed applications is Nov. 18. Applications can be turned in at City Hall with the $25 hole-digging fee. Space for this program is limited to the first 15 applications received. Applications received after the deadline will be considered for spring planting.
Tree planting will begin the week of Dec. 5. ■
