Woodland adult rehab company to provide services

The Colusa County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 25 approved a contract between the Department of Behavioral Health and Cache Creek Lodge Inc. to provide adult rehabilitation services.

Cache Creek Lodge is a 40-bed residential substance abuse program in Woodland, which utilizes a social model based on the 12-step program and addressing each client’s comprehensive needs, officials said.

Local Behavioral Health officials said research supports the efficacy of the social model, particularly with indigent populations in which abstaining from alcohol and other substances is reinforced through peer support and expectations of personal responsibility.

Under the contract, clients will receive individual and group counseling from trained clinical staff with experience working with previously-incarcerated populations. Cache Creek Lodge teaches courses on financial literacy, seeking employment, and other life skills, balanced with time for experiential art and recreational therapies. The term of the agreement is from Oct. 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023.

Colusa County Behavioral Health has budgeted up to $100,000 for the services. â–
