Assemblyman James Gallagher, R-Yuba City, on Monday announced his selection of women to receive the 2022 Woman of the Year awards for the 3rd Assembly District. Shiela Etchepare, of Colusa, will be recognized at a luncheon next month in Chico, along with five other recipients from each of the counties (Butte, Glenn, Sutter), Gallagher represents.
The purpose of these awards is to “recognize the remarkable contributions made by the women of the Third Assembly District.” Etchepare is a charter member of the Colusa County Fair Foundation. For Glenn County, Gallagher selected the late Barbara LaDoucer, a longtime member and president of the Princeton American Legion Auxiliary.
