Colusa resident Daniel Vaca received the Colusa Unified School District “Heart of the Hawk” award on Monday, May 16, presented by Trustee Melissa Yerxa Ortiz. Vaca, a Colusa alumni, was selected for being a baseball and soccer coach, contributing an invaluable amount of time as a member of the Colusa City Council, having a great attitude, and for being a great role model for kids.
