Arbuckle FFA members receive State Degree

Submitted by: Allie Traynham, Arbuckle FFA

Hard work paid off for 26 members of Arbuckle FFA when they were recently awarded their state degrees. State degrees are the third highest degree one can earn in FFA, and it reflects the students commitment to their Ag projects and FFA. To earn a state degree, students must have earned at least $1,000 and spent 500 hours on their project in addition to several other requirements.

“We are proud of these students who earned this degree. It shows that they put in the work and the commitment that is needed to accomplish this goal,” said Arbuckle FFA Advisor Luke VanLaningham. “These kids have worked hard the last three to four years to get their state degree pins, whether it is showing fair animals, working in an agricultural field, or doing research projects. To have this many kids in our chapter earn this degree is quite an accomplishment.”

The 26 recipients are Fabian Ayala, Eduardo Calderon, Jesus Calderon, Rocio Calderon, Anahi Cano, Gus Doherty, Jack Ehrke, Morgan Erickson, Anthony Felix, Belsazar Haro, Gisela Herrera, Brayden Hoebel, Alex Jorge, Caidynce Lopez, Francisco Lopez, Roberto Martinez, Sofia Martinez, Rebekah McPeek, Chasey Miller, Tatum Mulqueeney, Bryce Murphy, Casandra Sanchez, Kallie Stassi, Jordyn Stephens, Rudy Tapia, and Katie Washburn.
