Clerk-Recorder Registrar seat available, Gallo-Vasquez to retire

After 28 years with the County of Colusa, Rose Gallo-Vasquez announced last week she will retire at the end of 2022, and will not seek reelection as County Clerk-Recorder Registrar. 

“I have had the privilege of working with a great team of people and have enjoyed serving the members of this community over the years,” Gallo-Vasquez said in a statement. 

Gallo-Vasquez said she now looks forward to spending time with family and friends. 

The filing period for those interested in running for County Clerk-Recorder is currently open, with the Signatures In-Lieu of Filing Fee circulation period ending Feb. 9. 

The Declaration of Candidacy and Nomination Paper Period opens Feb. 14 and runs through March 11. The elected seat comes with an annual (Step 1) salary of $95,000, plus benefits, and pension.
