A Gridley man was arrested in Butte County on Friday on suspicion of committing lewd conduct with a Colusa minor.
The Colusa Police Department, with the assistance of the Colusa County Sheriffs Office, Gridley Police Department, and Williams Police Department, arrested Anthony Lee Ayala, 45, after executing a search warrant at his residence in the 1700 block of Hazel Street, in Gridley, according to Colusa Police Lt. Martin said Ayala came to the attention of law enforcement after a parent discovered inappropriate communications between the adult male and the alleged victim.
During the search of his residence, police reportedly found evidence of child pornography. Ayala was taken into custody and subsequently booked at the Colusa County Jail for lewd and lascivious conduct with a child under the age of 14, committing a lewd act by force, and possessing material that depicts a person under the age of 18, and engaging in or simulating sexual conduct.
