Summer is in full swing in the City of Williams. The newly-renovated City Pool opened earlier this month on the Fourth of July weekend after being closed for more than a year. City officials took advantage of the closure from the COVID-19 pandemic to make the $375,000 in necessary repairs to solve several deficiencies, leaks, and drainage issues, officials said. The best part about the pool, kids said, is that there is no charge ever to swim and that ” Its a great way to cool down on a hot day” and ” Swimming is fun.” The Williams City Council earlier this year approved the ” no charge” on admission, and instead agreed to offer the recreation as a public service to the entire community. The Williams Pool is located at 1100 D. St. For pool hours, check the citys electronic message boards, located at Town Square on E. Street and 7th, and on E. Street at Vann.
