Everyone has a list. Our lifes list is usually not written, but tucked away in the vault of our minds and hearts.
Since we are the only ones who know what is on the list, we can be totally honest in admitting (to ourselves ) the degree of importance each person or thing has in our life.
Ill share that one of my list items is privacy. I’m one of those women, and I suspect I’m one of many who enjoys quiet time.
I love my family and friends and want to be with them as much as possible, but I also need ˜me time. I need time to sit and think.
My forever friend Jean has a special sign in her house. ” Sometimes I sits and thinks and sometimes I just sits,” it reads.
Lucky for me, I have a husband who gets it. He has never complained when I go on a girl trip or just go on my own for a day or two. I suspect he too needs time to sit and think from time to time.
Today, I’m in Billings, Montana. Ill attend a memorial service for my foster sons dad, Jim Von Schriltz.
Jim was a good guy. He passed earlier in the year, but with the year we were having, his memorial, like many others, was delayed.
Today, his friends and family can say goodbye and share memories of him.
Since I’m in Billings, Ill also spend a couple of days with my forever friend Lyn.
Time with Lyn is always a treat. We talk for hours, drink some wine, and sit on her beautiful deck. Shes in the country so the Montana sky goes on forever. Its a wonderful place to unwind and rejuvenate.
Life is good today. –
