Josephine Grimmer

Josephine Gertrude (Jensen) Grimmer went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Woodland, California.

Josephine was born in Colusa County to Wilbur (Bill) and Mabel Jensen on July 7, 1932.

She lived her entire life in Arbuckle, in the same farmhouse. Josephine attended Arbuckle schools and graduated from Sacramento City College. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles (Jack) Grimmer in 1953. They were happily married 54 years until Jacks passing (graduation as Jack would say) in 2007.

Josephine and her husband were farmers where she managed the bookkeeping and drove truck during sugar beet harvest in the early years. Josephine was well known to always have hot coffee for the local farmers and neighbors where they would spend time solving the worlds problems with Jack at the kitchen table. She was active in the Arbuckle Community Church.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband. Josephine is survived by her daughters Sandy Jansen (Pete) of Milford and Karen Grimmer (Bill Cox) of Sacramento; grandchildren Dawn Jansen Thies (Kevin) of Beavercreek, Oregon, Will Jansen (Allison) of Arbuckle, and Kevin Jansen of southern California; great grandchildren Ian and Paige Thies; Addy, Ashley, and Luke Jansen.

Services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021, 2 PM at Arbuckle Community Church, 700 Hillgate Road, Arbuckle. –
