The train keeps rolling in Maxwell as the Panthers pushed their record to 16-1 overall with a 25-17, 25-22, 25-16 win over county rival Williams in a preseason match last Tuesday.
Fatima Cano dominated at the net hitting .500 on the night as she recorded 10 kills and six blocks.
So far this season, Cano is fourth in the Northern Section, with 127 total kills and second in blocks with 51.
Also, playing a significant role in the front row, was Emma Hendrix, who dished out 13 assists and made four blocks. Hendrix is among the section leaders in blocks, currently sitting fourth with 44.
As has been the case this season, Maxwell was strong at the service line, totaling 17 aces on the night with Bailee Haywood accounting for seven of them.
In the back row, Haywood recorded a team-high 15 digs, while Kennidy Moss made 10.
For her part this season, Haywood is third in the section in digs with 196 and fifth in aces with 38.
The Panthers, who have dropped just four of the 45 sets they have played, rounded out the preseason Wednesday with a match on the road against Paradise Adventist Academy.H
