Yolanda was born Sept. 30, 1955, in Nessa, Ore., to her mother Mildred Kerr, and her father Frank Cortez Sr.
She was the youngest sibling of Joe Henry Pillars, Rada Pillars, Connie Broadhead, Sandy Siylvis, Verl Kerr Jr, Lola Harbin, Violet Mitchell, Raymond, Carl, and Frank Cortez Jr.
Yolanda and Jose Arias Rodriguez Sr., her husband of 52 years, resided in Williams where they owned and operated William’s first Mexican Restaurant Jose’s Restaurant or Jose’s Cuisine for 30 years.
Yolanda passed away on January 31, 2023, at Alderson Elderly Community in Woodland, CA.
She is survived by her husband, and her children/step-children Jose, Gabriela, Adrian, Omar Rodriquez, and Sophia Rodriquez. Her grandchildren are Anastacia, Eliana, Penny Rodriguez, David, and Danny Canal.
Yolanda’s services were held at the Church of the Annunciation and she was laid to rest at the Williams Cemetery.
Yolanda’s passion for love, life, and music is a light that will be sorely missed but will live in our hearts and memories forever. ■
