THE COUNTY OF COLUSA INVITES YOUR INPUT
ON THE STATE’S REGIONAL EARLY ACTION PLANNING (REAP) GRANTS OF 2021
The County of Colusa is eligible to receive a grant award under the Tribal and Rural Funding Allocation from the Regional Early Action Planning Grant Program (REAP 2.0). The principal goal of REAP 2.0 is to make funding available to Tribal and Rural Entities for transformative planning and implementation activities that meet housing and equity goals and reduce Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) Per Capita. The purpose of this email is to inform you of availability of this grant opportunity and to solicit your input into the development of priorities for the use of these funds. In addition to this outreach effort, the County is eligible to partner with other forms of governments (including tribal entities) in developing a proposal which will have a direct effect on land-use, transportation, or development within the County. To apply for funds under a partnership arrangement, a separate, completed, and signed REAP 2 application package, including an authorizing resolution from the Board and a copy of the signed partnership agreement, is required. The Department plans to present all comments received, as well as partner applications, to the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. While comments will be received up until the Board’s meeting, it is suggested the comments be delivered to staff prior to Wednesday, December 15, 2022 so that they may be included in the Board’s packet. In addition, County staff should be contacted at the earliest possible time should you wish to proposed a partner application.
