In loving memory of Marilyn Gail Walker Wishnewitz.

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marilyn Gail Walker Wishnewitz of Williams, CA on December 27, 2024. Born March 3, 1941, in Lake County CA, Marilyn lived a life full of adventure and love.

In 1970 she moved with her daughter to the Sacramento area to pursue a career in real estate before fulfilling her entrepreneurial spirit of owning and operating “ Marilyn’s Food Affair” a small coffee shop in Citrus Heights. In 1980, Marilyn settled in Williams, CA where she continued working in food service, waitressing at the Auction Yard and Louis Cairos. She later became a records clerk for the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department where she worked until she retired in 2000. After retirement, Marilyn remained active, working part time at Louis Cairos and later becoming a compassionate Home Health Care Provider.

Marilyn’s life was marked by her passions and pursuit for adventure. She had a great appreciation for classic cars and proudly raced her 240 Z at Cal Expo in her younger years. She carried a lifelong love for the dance floor, movies and travel. Remarkably, she visited every state in the United States and traveled Asia and Europe in her later years. She shared many of these adventures with her daughter, granddaughter and beloved sister Devona Holland of Lake County, creating lasting memories cherished by her family.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband and friend of more than 22 years, Lester Harvey Wishnewitz of Toledo Ohio. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Angela Plachek Fulcher (Keith); loving granddaughter, Amanda Plachek Lopez (Michael); and great- grandchildren, Penelope and Barrett Lopez.

After a courageous battle with Parkinson’s and Dementia, Marilyn passed peacefully in her sleep. Per her wishes, no formal service will be held. Her family will celebrate her life privately, honoring her memory and the legacy of love and joy she leaves behind.

Marilyn will be remembered for her kindness, adventurous spirit and unwavering zest for life. She touched the hearts of everyone who knew her, and her memory will remain forever cherished.
