Madison MacDonald, an award-winning trick rider, will be the Specialty Act at this year’s Stonyford Rodeo, May 5-7.
MacDonald has followed her dreams of becoming a Professional Trick Rider and now has over 24 years of experience, performing across North America and Mexico at world renowned events and rodeos, said Stonyford Rodeo spokesman Roy Stewart.
Born and raised outside of Calgary, Alberta, she now lives in Helena, Montana. Since the age of 18, she has been selected as a NFR Contract Act ten times, and has been nominated five times for one of the PRCA’s Top 5 Dress Act of the Year awards.
MacDonald is also a professional barrel racer and spends her free time competing, team roping, training horses, and teaching the next generation of trick riders.
“Madison is extremely dedicated to the western industry and truly loves entertaining people,” Stewart said in a news release. “She is known for her fast-paced, high energy and very skilled trick riding. This will be her first time in Stonyford. Come to the rodeo and make her welcome.”
