A strong outfield game by Roberto Lara, paired with continuous strike-outs by Massey Baker kept Redding Christian scoreless over the next two innings.
Again, the Panthers capsized on a two-out rally at the top of the seventh, with big hits by Shane Danley, Steven Avery, and Brody Jones, bringing the Panthers to the 4-0 lead.
Maxwell kept Redding Christian from scoring again in the bottom of the seventh inning, claiming their last regular season victory.
Baker took the win for the Panthers, surrendering zero runs on two hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Maxwell collected nine hits during the game, with Grishaber and Baker leading the way with two hits each.
The Panthers end the regular season with a 12-8 record overall and currently sits first in the Mountain Valley League. Division Seven playoffs are to be announced later this week.■
