Jeffrey Mark Phelan

12/04/1963 - 02/28/2022

Jeffrey Mark Phelan born Dec. 4, 1963, in Woodland, CA, to Kyran Phelan and Arlene Rankin was taken away from us unexpectedly on Feb. 28, 2022.

Despite his stubbornness, cutting, funny remarks there is an abundance of evidence that he was a very loving and caring person; as anyone who knew him could tell you, he would give you the shirt off his back and the last dollar in his money clip if you needed it. The outpouring of love for him from his community of friends and family runs as deep as his Pierce Bear Pride. Jeff was an ‘82 graduate of Pierce High School and never missed a home football game; he was always there to cheer his Bears on, in his iconic Lettermans Jacket, proudly razzing his buddies that he could STILL fit in his!

Jeff loved to sing and dance, the Juke Box was his best friend; you could usually hear him coming before you saw him…. “the only two things in life that make it worth living…… .” also that would be shortly followed by a toast of “here’s to you and here’s to me….”

Jeff was an excellent mechanic and loved to work the Destruction Derby and help his brother from another mother Greg Dowden. They had many good runs.

His passing leaves behind his sister Susie McCullough (Steve), nieces Hattie Knowles (Paul), Minda McCullough Yay (Darrick) nephew, who he loved dearly, Mitchell McCullough (Elena), as well as many loving cousins, Aunts, Uncles. He was preceded in death by his Parents, brother Danny Kern Phelan, Grandparents, Michael (Bamp) and Helen (Nana) Phelan, and Harriet Hawk.

The brewers of Jeff’s beloved “Coors” beer are also going to feel this tremendous loss as he was their number one fan!

A private service and Memorial will be held at a later date.

Donations in his name can be made to Pierce High School Football, 960 Wildwood Rd., Arbuckle, CA 95912, or the Arbuckle Fire Department, PO Box 727, Arbuckle, CA 95912.
