Yuletide provides hot meals for the hungry

Over 125 meals were provided to Colusa County residents thanks to the Yuletide Dinner Committee.

Annually on Christmas Day, community volunteers and parishioners gather to prepare a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and served at the Colusa Methodist Church’s Friendship Hall.

Organizers said that about 75 meals were delivered to homebound seniors, and about 50 meals were provided curbside.

The meal is provided at no cost, thanks to the generosity of community members.

“The Yuletide Dinner Committee would like to thank all those who donated their time, money, turkeys, and pies to make this year’s dinner a success,” said Committee Member Elizabeth Yerxa.
