Cover crop tour scheduled for farmers and ranchers

The UC Cooperative Extension and the Wester Cover Crop Council will host a tour of several crop sites in the Sacramento Vally including orchards, and annual crop fields 8 AM to 7:30 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022, departing from the Colusa County UCCE Office, 100 Sunrise Blvd., Ste. E, in Colusa. 

This tour will allow participants to hear from farmers, extension specialists, and researchers on topics such as cover crop selection, equipment to manage cover crops, considerations for crop cover management, and building soil health. 

Registration open until Feb. 1, and is limited to farmers, ranchers, and producers. The cost is $50 and includes morning refreshments, transportation, a lunch, and dinner. To reserve your spot, visit https://bit.ly/3ztrF2B
