Maxwell volleyball gains momentum

Emma Hendrix tips the ball over Princeton’s defense in last week’s victory over the Eagles.

The Lady Panthers have been on a winning streak and continued by shutting Princeton down on a 3-0 set win on Sept. 2.

Maxwell now sits at 5-1 season record.

With back-to-back home game wins over Esparto and Live Oak, Maxwell continues to put growth on the court with full team effort.

“These girls really work well together,” said Coach Ashley Krug. “I continue to see improvement every game and look forward to a great season.”

Emma Hendrix led the Panthers offense with seven kills and a solo block, while Perla Herrera and Jocelyn Lazurus contributed six ace serves each.

Sophomore Bailee Haywood defended the back row with seven digs on the night.

Maxwell descended to Paradise Adventist Academy yesterday and will host the Williams Yellowjackets tonight at 6:30 PM.
