Elfriede Luise Pinto, born Dec. 25 1927 Mannheim Germany
A long-time resident of Maxwell passed away Oct. 16 2021.
She met her loving husband, Gene, while he was serving in the U.S. Army
during World War II. Gene and Elfriede Pinto were married for 68 years until his death in 2014.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother Werner and sister Edith from Germany, son Eugene (Bonnie)two daughters Rita(Russ)and Carmen, six Grandchildren, and many Great- Grandchildren. Elfriede’s easy nature, kind-hearted and generosity was a treasure to all those lives she touched.
She made many contributions to the local community, volunteering and leading activities with the 4-H, Sacred Heart Catholic Church Sodality, American Legion Auxiliary, U.P.P.E.C, and Stitch and Chatter.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and travels through the U.S. and Europe.
Her laughter and love of life will be missed by many.
Services will be held at the Maxwell Sacred Heart Church, Nov. 3 at 11 AM. Graveside service following.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Maxwell Cemetery Fund or charity of your choice.
