NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the City of Williams has tentatively determined that the project described below will not result in a significant adverse impact on the environment and that, in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the City is prepared to issue a “mitigated negative declaration” in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  Tentative Map to subdivide a 17.27-acre vacant property into 103 single family residential lot.  Lot sizes for this project range from 5,000 to 13,583 square feet.  The project site is located in the NC-6, Neighborhood Conservation Zoning District which allows this level of development.

PROJECT LOCATION:    Southeast corner of E Street and Husted Road, Williams, CA; Assessor’s Parcel 005-270-037, Williams, CA.

This tentative determination to find that the project will not result in a significant adverse environmental effect is based on an environmental study that assesses the project’s potential environmental impacts.  The environmental study includes a list of 18 mitigation measures that have been incorporated into the project that reduces the project’s potential adverse impacts to a level of non-significance. The Final environmental determinations are made by the decision making body for the project, which, in this case would be the Planning Commission of the City of Williams.
