NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of Colusa will conduct a Public Hearing on August 31, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., in the County Board of Supervisors Chambers at 546 Jay Street, Suite 108, Colusa, CA, 95932 in order to submit a Program Income Only Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project, and solicit public input.
The County of Colusa is applying for approval to expend approximately $650,000 in existing Program Income for the following eligible activities:
Karens House is requesting a $650,000 loan from Program Income funds for a home for abused women and children. This would include the site/building acquisition and any modifications needed for certifications. This project will exclusively benefit battered spouses and abused children.
As of June 30, 2021, the County of Colusa has $1,161,451 in CDBG Program Income that must be expended prior to applying for additional CDBG grant funding.
The purpose of the public hearing is to give people an opportunity to make their comments known on the proposed activities/application.
